I had an amazing time at Riverstone Lodge! My purpose for staying was to relax and explore the surrounding area. I stayed for a few days and enjoyed the well-kept patio area, perfect for chilling out and reading a book. The hostel provided plenty of information and activities, and the social area and kitchen were clean and well-equipped. The owner, Logan, was incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. Jo and her daughter were also wonderful and added to the welcoming atmosphere. After a long walk, coming back to a cozy fire and a lazy boy was pure bliss. Plus, discovering an electric blanket on my bed was a delightful surprise!
I would highly recommend this hotel.

This lodge is simply amazing! Jo, the host, made me feel at home, helping me with planning the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The common space has a cozy fire, great kitchen, and living room. The location is perfect, with a supermarket nearby. The beds are comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommended!
No complaints.

the staff were friendly and helpful, providing complimentary tea and coffee, as well as free parking. the location was also convenient, with easy access to the kitchen and bathroom facilities.
the lack of acoustic insulation meant that noise from other guests could be heard easily, including flushing toilets and footsteps on the wooden floor.

I had a great experience at this hotel in Turangi. the location was perfect - close to the town center and shops, but tucked away on a quiet residential street. Secondly, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, especially Sandra who made me feel very welcome. Additionally, the rooms were well-equipped with good kitchen appliances, making it easy to prepare my own meals. Lastly, the value for money was excellent, with prices that were very reasonable for the quality of the accommodation.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were fantastic.

We loved staying at this hotel! The staff were fantastic throughout our entire stay and were always willing to help us with any questions we had. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the hotel facilities were great. we loved the location of the hotel; it was in a quiet area but still close to the shops and the Tongariro river. The hotel also provided easy access to transportation, making it easy for us to explore everything this city had to offer. we would highly recommend staying at this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Nothing all good.

We stayed in a lovely hostel with a cosy and homely atmosphere. the warmth of the fire and the comfortable sofas made us feel right at home. There were plenty of things to do in the area, with lots of information available to plan our activities. the hostel was very clean, with well-equipped kitchens and useful facilities like maps and guides. We appreciate that there were big bins to sort out our rubbish.
The heater in our room was a bit small, making it hard to warm up the room quickly. But we were provided with high quality bedding and hangers on the wall would have been a bonus.

The kitchen facilities were impressive, with all the amenities you could possibly need for cooking a wonderful meal. We also appreciated the abundance of bins for sorting our rubbish, a detail often overlooked in other accommodations. the availability of maps and information on nearby attractions was a great touch. It made it easy for us to plan our activities and explore the area.
The internet connection was quite slow during our stay, which made it difficult for us to stay connected. Some of the rooms lacked a TV, which was a disappointment for us as we enjoy some downtime in the evenings.

The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, and the main area was cozy and inviting. The living room and kitchen were both well equipped and perfect for gathering with friends. the bathrooms and showers were plentiful, clean, and private.
The room had poor air circulation and became overwhelmingly hot in the afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, there were no air conditioning or fans provided, and opening windows did little to improve the temperature.

The hotel exceeded all my expectations with its luxurious amenities. the private bathroom was spacious and elegant, with high, quality toiletries. the sun terrace and garden area were perfect for relaxing and enjoying stunning views of the surrounding nature. the BBQ facilities were top, notch, with high, grade equipment to cater to all our needs. the room advantages were exclusive, with the bed being one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. the TV room was also a great place to spend time, with cozy seating and entertainment options.
The only minor issue I encountered was that the leisure room was not as impressive as the rest of the hotel. this was minor compared to all the other great things the hotel offered.

The location was perfect, with easy access to the i-site, New World supermarket, and the river. The hostel itself was spotlessly clean, and the cooking facilities were great. We especially enjoyed the nice deck where we could relax during the summer evenings. The staff were friendly and cute, making our stay even better. we highly recommend this place as a base for your Tongariro adventure.

The hostel had a great location, close to popular hiking trails and outdoor activities. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing assistance for organizing transportation and giving recommendations for things to do in the area. The communal areas were clean and inviting, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
There were a few things that I didn't particularly enjoy about my stay. the kitchen lacked basic cooking essentials such as salt and pepper, making it a bit inconvenient for those who wanted to prepare their own meals.
